Leh (Moroop Stanjin). These days cold north India is shivering. There is no relief anywhere from the plains to the hilly region. The temperature in Ladakh has reached -21 degrees. Roads are closed. The pipes have frozen. Food and drink have become expensive by leaps and bounds. But one positive effect of this cold has been that the grounds have been prepared naturally for the winter ice hockey tournament.
These plains are built in the rivers, ponds and lakes flowing from here. As the cold is increasing, these plains are getting better with the accumulation of water. Even more special is that these players practice here for hours daily in such cold condition. In the plains where people have stopped coming out of the house in 4-5 degrees.
At the same time, our force personnel are practicing in 21 degrees from 8 am to 6 pm so that their rivals can get 'ice'. Snow because there is no sign of dust these days. ITBP coach Sonal Paldon said that Indus River started freezing

According to the Meteorological Department, it is the second wettest December of the century in Delhi.
Earlier in 1996, it was 2.3 degrees. Even before this the lowest temperature was in 1901. Mercury minus 28.6 degree was recorded in Drass in Ladakh and 19.1 degree in Leh. Mercury in Fatehpur in Sikar district of Rajasthan reached 4 degrees and Mount Abu at minus 1.5 degrees. Meerut in UP had the lowest 1.7 degree temperature.
Haryana had the lowest Hisar temperature of 0.2 degree. Mandla in Madhya Pradesh recorded the lowest of 1 degree and mercury 5.3 degree in Bhopal. The minus 11.5 degree in Keylong, Himachal Pradesh. Kedarnath and Badrinath of Uttarakhand are covered with snow. Mercury at Pithoragarh was recorded at .5 degree.
Delhi has had a severe cold for the 11th consecutive day for the first time since 1997. Temperatures in 15 states have been recorded below 5 degrees. There have been 7 sevier cold-day and 8 cold-day records since the beginning of December across the country.
