Delhi. The whole state is in the grip of cold wave due to continuous rains for two days and snow falling in high altitude areas including Shimla. The minimum temperatures in most areas have reached zero degrees or below. Due to heavy snowfall, 300 roads including 6 National Highways have been closed for movement.

Helicopter service stopped in Jammu and Kashmir
Helicopter service from Katra to Sanjhi terrace remained suspended for the second day due to fog following rain and fresh snowfall in Trikuta hills of Jammu and Kashmir. Travel to Bhairon Valley has also been stopped. At the same time, the journey continues on both the traditional and new route. Helicopter service will be started as the weather improves.

Highest rainfall in Dharamsala
66 mm in Dharamsala on Thursday, 62 mm in Kazi Gund, Manali 49 mm, Srinagar 25, Una 23 mm, Dehradun 20 mm, Shimla 13 mm and Mandi. 12 mm of rain was recorded.
