The special CBI court of Ranchi completed the trial in one month in the case of rape and murder of engineering student and convicted the accused on Friday. He will be sentenced today. Special CBI Judge AK Mishra has convicted Rahul Raj (23) in the case.
The victim was an engineering student in a college in Ranchi. His body was found on 16 December 2016. The post mortem revealed that he was murdered after being raped. The CBI took over the investigation of the case on January 25, 2018. The court began hearing the case from November 8 and ruled on Friday.
