Five IPS have been given senior pay scale along with promotion to seven IPS. These officers will be promoted to Deputy Inspector General of Police in January next year. On the other hand, Arun Mohan Joshi, who took over the captaincy of Dehradun as DIG, has become the second officer. Prior to this, IG Personnel Pushpak Jyoti was the captain of the district while being the DIG.
Seven police officers have received promotions in the government after the DPC on Friday. His orders were issued with the approval of the Chief Minister. Among these, senior IPS V Vinay was promoted as DG, PVK Prasad and Deepam Seth ADG, Arun Mohan Joshi, Rajiv Swaroop, Sweety Aggarwal and Anant Shankar Takwale as Deputy Inspector General of Police.
Apart from this, SSP Abudhai Senthil of Haridwar, IPS Janmayjay Khanduri, Sadanand Date, Sunil Meena and SP Yogendra Rawat of Tehri have got senior pay scale. According to police sources, in 2021, these officers will become DIGs by promotion. Senior IPS Sadanand Date is
currently on deputation to Maharashtra.
