The Aam Aadmi Party has started collecting funds keeping in mind the upcoming assembly elections. On Saturday, a fund raising dinner was organized at Hotel Royal Plaza, Connaught Place.

Aam Aadmi Party leaders Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, Brijesh Goyal and Pankaj Gupta were present on the occasion. The party has set a target of collecting Rs 1 crore.

At the fund raising dinner, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia informed the traders about the achievements of the Delhi government. It also introduced the outline of what the government plans for traders.

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh also met businessmen and apprised them about the policies of the Aam Aadmi Party government. Traders were also aware of the difficulties faced in the trade. During this time suggestions were taken from traders to increase trade in Delhi. The party will also include the suggestion in the manifesto.

Brijesh Goyal, the Aam Aadmi Party Trade Wing's Convenor, said that about 400 traders have registered. The Aam Aadmi Party does not contest elections with donations from big industrialists and industrial houses, but instead takes donations from the common man and common businessmen.
