January 11 has been fixed for the examination of EVMs in all districts regarding the Delhi Assembly elections. The administration of these EVM machines will be investigated in front of political parties in various districts.
On Thursday, the election officer of North Eastern district, Shashi Kaushal, confirmed this and said that recently there has been a meeting with representatives of all parties. A random check of EVMs will be done on 11 January. He also informed that control rooms have been made at the district level.
The administration started preparations only after the announcement of elections. The toll free number 1800-111-402 will be worked on 24 hours on complaints. A single window system has also been introduced to allow political parties to rally, etc.
Model Town activists of AAP shouted slogans against local MLA Akhilesh Pati Tripathi in the presence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. At the same time, slogans were raised in support of the Chief Minister.
Those protesting were demanding the party not to give tickets to the current MLA. The special thing is that outside the office, when the slogan was being raised against the MLA, the Chief Minister was confusing the press. Workers were seen protesting even as the Chief Minister's convoy left.
A party official said that it is possible that some people are personally angry with the local MLA, but resentment should be lodged on the appropriate forum.
