His major works include 'Dandanayak', 'Anna', 'Ek Kishti' and 'Broken Sun Image'. Panu's two novels 'Vahan' and 'Let me go home' have been active in Hindi writing for more than five decades. Panu Kholia was born in 1939 in Deoli village of Almora.
He received his higher education from Almora after getting his initial education from the village. After graduating from Agra University, he became a professor in the Rajasthan Higher Education Department. After completing service there, he was permanently living in Haldwani for the last two decades. They have one son and four daughters.
