The students of Jamia, who have been protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and NRC for the last twenty days, have started Satyagraha. Students have started a gradual hunger strike from Wednesday on the first day of the new year.
The current and former students of Jamia from eight to ten will sit on hunger strike. The students say they will continue on the path of Gandhiji until the CAA is withdrawn. On Wednesday, many people including former MPs Pappu Yadav, Rashid Alvi, including RJ Syama, Sanjay Rajaura reached Jamia in support of the students.
Former MPs Pappu Yadav who arrived in Jamia said that there were ongoing protests in Jamia and Shaheen Bagh Women contribute significantly to this. Rashid Alvi said that the Congress would continue to oppose the CAA and NRC. On the other hand, the students on gradual hunger strike demanded the withdrawal of the CAA and NRC, conducted a fair investigation into the violence and immediately released the protesters.

She along with her film Ranjhana co-star Mohammad Zeeshan Ayub came to Jamia Millia University on Wednesday at an event. Swara said that the Citizenship Amendment Act has been brought only to target Muslims. The Jamia students welcomed Swara and Zeeshan by raising slogans of Inquilab Zindabad and Azadi.
On this occasion, Swara called the CAA an attack on the constitution of the country. He said that there is no doubt that CAA, NRC and NPR are not only an attack on Muslims but also an attack on the constitution of the country. These laws have been made by the Central Government under its own agenda. Muslims do not have to give any fire exams to prove their citizenship, they have given their exams in 1947.
Students who are opposing these laws are actually fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi's dream.

At the Constitution Club on Wednesday, Safdar Hashmi Memorial Trust (agreed) organized an event to protest against CAA and NRC Gone. On this occasion, artists expressed their opposition through plays, poems, songs and poetry.
