Two people returning home on a bike after a wedding ceremony were hit by a truck on the Signature Bridge on Thursday night. This led to a person falling down from the bridge, killing him. The driver escaped with the truck after the accident.
According to police, the deceased Sandeep Kumar (40) lived in Nathupura area with wife and two children. He accompanied his friend Abhishek on a bike to his sister-in-law's wedding in Gokalpuri.
Both were returning home at 11.30 pm. Proceeded from Signature Bridge towards Timarpur, when a truck hit his bike. The bike slipped and crashed into the railing.
Abhishek remained on the bridge while Sandeep jumped and
fell down. A PCR van on the spot admitted Sandeep to the Trauma Center, where he was declared dead.
