Satyanand Bhogata of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), from Chatra Assembly seat reserved for Scheduled Caste in Chatra district of Jharkhand, got 101710 votes against his nearest rival Bharatiya Janata. The Janardhan Paswan Rti defeated by a huge margin of 24,055 votes. Kedar Bhuiyan of Janata Dal United was third with 7292 votes and Tileshwar Ram of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha finished fourth with 6703 votes.

Last time Jai Prakash Singh Bhogta of Bharatiya Janata Party won 20,576 votes from Chatra Assembly seat. Won. This time this seat is reserved for the Scheduled Castes. In the first phase of the Chatra assembly seat, votes were cast on 30 November. This seat has been the stronghold of Lalu Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal.

While there , Kishun Kumar Das of BJP defeated Manoj Kumar Chandra of AJSU by 10996 votes in a tough contest in the Simaria seat reserved for Scheduled Castes. Kishun Kumar got a total of 61438, while Manoj Kumar got 50442 votes. Ramdev Singh Bhogta of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha came third with 31346 votes, while the Congress came in fourth place. Congress candidate Yogendra Nath Baitha got 27665 votes. In the third phase of the Simaria assembly seat, votes were cast on December 12.
