The department has also planned to make beds in hospitals at 75% cost. It claims that it is being prepared in Delhi at a cost of Rs 25 million in relation to the cost of Rs 1 crore on a bed of the central government. The government will save Rs 190 crore to build a 362-bed trauma center at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
In the new year, the department is expected to increase by 91 per cent beds and take the number of Mohalla clinics beyond one thousand. However, the government did not succeed in starting four new hospitals in Delhi. In May 2019, the government was to start these hospitals with 3093 beds.
What's lost in 2019 …
1. The work of starting four new hospitals in Dwarka, Ambedkar Nagar and Burari hung.
2. Shortage of ventilator in hospitals of Delhi remains the same.
3. The lack of new medical equipment and staff could also not be completed.
4. Free dialysis facility could not reach all hospitals.
5. Cat's ambulance ran throughout the year amid protests. Number not increased.
What to expect from 2020
1. Expected to increase to 6593 beds at Sanjay Memorial Hospital including 8 new hospitals including Trauma Center, Sarita Vihar, Vikaspuri, Madipur and Sirspur.
3. After getting the High Court order, the Delhi government is working to remove the ventilator shortage. In the new year, the whole system can be launched by taking it.
4. Delhiites can get the benefit of Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme just like Ayushman Bharat. It will be necessary to have an Aadhar card or voter card. The number of Mohalla clinics can reach 1 thousand. So far 334 Mohalla clinics are ready.
5. If there is no ventilator in the government hospital, a plan can be started to refer the patient to the nearest private hospital. 72 private hospitals in Delhi are connected to the scheme.
