Firing has been carried out at Simna, the outer colony of Kishtwar town in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the security forces, two policemen were injured in the late Sunday night firing.

According to the information, two Special Police Officers (SPOs) were injured in this incident. Two SPOs – Mohammad Salim and Ajay Kumar – were stationed at the security of the 'Filtration' plant at Semina Colony and opened fire around 10 pm.
On Sunday, there was heavy shelling along the International Border (IB) as well as military posts along the Line of Control (LoC) targeting the residential areas. Many houses have been damaged during this period. The Pakistani shelling has been responded to by the BSF and the army.

Earlier, security forces foiled a conspiracy to fly military vehicles on the Baramulla-Uri highway on Sunday. Actually, the road opening party on Baramulla-Uri highway found suspicious items. After which the party called the bomb squad to the spot with immediate effect. Upon investigation, it was found that the suspicious object was an IED. Which the bomb squad deactivated. It is being told that this IED was planted on the outskirts of Baramulla.
