Firing has been carried out at Simna, the outer colony of Kishtwar town in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the security forces, two policemen were injured in the late Sunday night firing.

According to the information, two Special Police Officers (SPOs) were injured in this incident. Two SPOs – Mohammad Salim and Ajay Kumar – were stationed at the security of the 'Filtration' plant at Semina Colony and opened fire around 10 pm.

On Sunday, there was heavy shelling along the International Border (IB) as well as military posts along the Line of Control (LoC) targeting the residential areas. Many houses have been damaged during this period. The Pakistani shelling has been responded to by the BSF and the army.

On Sunday, the Pakistani Army opened fire on the LoC in the Palanwala sector, targeting army posts and residential areas. Pakistan opened fire with mortar and cannon from its Juggi post targeting the army posts in Palanwala sector at 4:36 pm.
