Police had blocked several routes to prevent the protesters from reaching Jantar Mantar. The police had to close several routes in the evening as protesters at the Dariyaganj-Delhi gate became angry.
Due to the demonstration in front of Shaheen Bagh Complex, both carriageways of Road No. 13 have been closed since Sunday afternoon. Due to this, neither vehicles are going to Noida from Sarita Vihar via Kalindi Kunj nor are they coming to Delhi from Noida via Kalindi Kunj.
Due to this the traffic pressure increased on Mathura Road, Ring Road, DND and Agra Canal. There was jam from both the carriageways of Mathura Road from morning till evening.
On the carriageway going from Ashram Chowk to Badarpur, the drivers were upset with the closure of the left turn from Apollo Hospital to Kalindi Kunj. The burnt bus on Mathura Road was kept on the road from the footpath on Friday afternoon.
Due to this also jammed. The jam had reached Nizamuddin from Ashram Chowk. Similarly, the closure of Ranjit Singh flyover led to a jam near KG Marg, Tolstoy Marg, Mandi House, Connaught Place, Tilak Marg and Pragati Maidan.
Due to the raging of the protest at the Delhi Gate, many avenues closed
Due to the demonstration, the routes from Jama Masjid to Delhi Gate, Subhash Chand Marg, Kotwali, Chandni Chowk, Kodia etc. Police had to be shut down later that afternoon. On Friday evening, the road leading to Delhi Gate, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Delhi Gate to Ramlila Maidan had to be closed due to agitation. However these routes were opened late at night.
