Police officers present on the spot after the violence said that when the protesters started evicting them from Seelampur, they started moving towards Zafarabad area. On the other hand, thousands of protesters were already present.
His plan was to blow up the Zafarabad police station. But in time, paramilitary personnel and police chased the crowd. According to Delhi Police, the protest which started around 1 pm turned violent in a short time.
The police then lathi-charged and released around 60 to 70 tear gas shells to chase down the masked protesters. Around
the situation came under control after three and a half hours.

Police was keeping a watch on the whole area with a drone
Seelampur and Jaffarabad area is also known for the narrow streets. The biggest challenge for the police was to monitor the movement of thousands of protesters in these streets. Police resorted to drones to keep an eye on the protesters. Special teams of Delhi Police reached the spot with drone cameras and started surveillance of the entire area. The drone cameras were seen flying in the area for half an hour after the protesters were overcome.
