What steps have been taken to implement Solid Waste Management Rules – 2016? The High Court has ordered the state government to file its status report. The court has also asked whether the sanctioned amount has been released to the local bodies. Has it been planned to register the West Dealers and West Pickers?
The Court has also ordered all District Magistrates and Commissioners to file a status report as to whether to collect the Solid Wastes separately, in the process. Local bodies have been made efficient to bring and dispose of it. Have steps been taken to implement these rules in local bodies like panchayat towns etc.
Arrangements have been made to collect solid waste from house to house. Orders have also been issued in Baddi-Barotiwala regarding the site for solid waste. It should be 100 meters from Sirsa river, 200 meters from residential areas, local parks and natural sources and 20 kilometers from air port.
