Shikaripara (Jharkhand) Assembly Election / Chunav Results 2019 Live News Updates: NALIN SOREN of JMM won 2014 from Shikaripara Assembly Constituency. He defeated JVM candidate PARITOSH SOREN. Jharkhand assembly elections were held in five phases. The election schedule was announced by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora on November 1, 2019 for the state with 81 assembly seats. Voting for the first phase took place on November 30, voting for the second phase on December 7, voting for the third phase on December 12, voting for the fourth phase on December 16, and voting for the fifth and last phase on December 20.
This time the counting of votes took place on 23 December. The results also came on the same date in 2014. In the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha Election 2014, votes were cast in five phases between 25 November and 20 December. Vipaksha has consistently criticized the elections being held in five phases.

Then the party had said that it would field candidates in all 81 seats. JDU fought 11 seats in the state in the last election, but did not win a single one.
In the election summer of Jharkhand, BJP came up with the slogan 'Abki Baar 60 Paar'. After the announcement of the election program, the Jharkhand BJP President had said that his goal would be to win 65 seats. In the last assembly election, BJP had got 37 seats. During that time, the BJP, along with the Jharkhand Student Union (AJSU), won 42 seats and crossed the majority mark.
In the 2014 assembly elections, BJP contested 73 seats and won 37 seats, while AJSU fielded candidates in 8 seats and won 5 seats. However, during that time, the BJP which won the Lok Sabha elections due to Modi wave did not show the miracle as expected in the assembly elections.
In 2014, BJP gained a total of 19 seats, while JMM gained only one seat. The JVM lost three seats. Apart from these, Congress lost seven seats, RJD lost all five seats. JDU also suffered a loss of two seats.
