The government has dismissed 22 doctors who are missing from duty without taking leave in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir. This includes Consultant Pathology, Consultant Anesthesia, Consultant Pediatrics, MD Radiology, Dental Surgeon and Medical Officer. This was the first decision of the Lt. Governor to terminate the services of non-attending doctors in the Health Department.
On March, 2019 information from non-attending doctors was given by the Directorate of Health, Jammu and Kashmir. Notices were issued several times to the absent doctors on behalf of both the Directorate.
In it, on July 19, 2019, 33 such doctors went to report the place of appointment in 15 days. After this, both Directorate gave information of 22 non-spot doctors in December 2019. Now the services of all these have been terminated citing rules.
The dismissed doctors include Consultant Pathology Dr. Farhat Mustafa resident Srinagar, Consultant Anesthesia Dr. Arfat Wahid, Bhaderwah (Doda), Consultant Pediatrician Dr. Javed Iqbal (Doda), Medical Officer Dr. Bilal Ahmed (Pyar ), Dr. Rais Ahmed Bhatt, Dr. Rais Noor Khan, Dr. Malik Rameez (Anantnag), Dr. Shahnawaz, Dr. Toba Nisar, Dr. Sheikh Imran Gul, Dr. Farhanaz Maharaj (Srinagar), Dr. Bilal Ahmed Dar (Pattan), Dr. Hilal Ahmed Ala, Dr. Ashak Joseph Lone (Baramulla), Dr. Adnan Zahoor (Brjula) and dr. Mo. Abrar Bhatt (Pampore) is.
The sacked doctors include Dr.
Shivet Sharma, Dr. Shweta, Dr. Rakesh Panjotra, Dr. Vivek Sharma, Dr. Rohit Raj resident, Dr. Mohammad Javed Bande of Udhampur.
