503 MPs, including Amit Shah, did not give particulars of their belongings throughout the stipulated timeframe after being elected as MP in 2019. This is revealed in an RTI. According to Assets Rules 2004, each member should give an announcement of their belongings inside 90 days of their election. Rule three of this regulation states that each elected candidate for the Lok Sabha is elected on the day he wins or takes oath. Within 90 days from the date, he shall obtain his movable and immovable property, which he, his husband or his dependent youngsters shall collectively kind. All such information has to be shared whether or not it’s proprietor or beneficiary.
The record of those that failed to present particulars included Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Indian National Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi. In response, it was additionally revealed that out of 543 members, solely 36 MPs had submitted their particulars throughout the stipulated timeframe. Of the 36 MPs, 25 belong to the Bharatiya Janata Party, eight belong to the All India Trinamool Congress.

Interestingly, not a single Congress MP has given particulars of his belongings on time.
