Wearing big cars, colorful jackets and kurtas, a long list of leaders who arrived around the ticket was seen. After the announcement of the assembly elections on Tuesday, the Congress leader in the ticket race reached the state office of the Congress party at Deendayal Upadhyay Marg to present his strong claim. The candidates filed applications from different constituencies.

After noon their number kept increasing and there was a tension in the evening. By the evening, applications from more than 200 potential candidates had reached the party office. Addressing the leaders and activists who came to try their luck in the assembly elections, State President Subhash Chopra said that in view of the party's strong position in Delhi, people from other parties are also keen to join the Congress.

Commenting on the poll surveys said that in the poll which came just a day before the Haryana Assembly elections, the Congress was given only three seats, but later repented. Chopra said that Delhi's results will not only come on the lines of Haryana but will be better than that. The Congress will form the government in Delhi on its own, for which the party has started work at the ground level.

With the announcement of the assembly elections, where the BJP has started the process of deciding the candidate, the manifesto is also being finalized. Along with the candidate, a declaration is also being done for the manifesto. The manifesto may be issued on the day of Tuesday (Makar Sankrant).

According to party officials, on Wednesday, the names of potential candidates of all the constituencies are to be held. In-charge, extensionists, convenors along with councilors and MLAs will also be present. Taking the opinion of all these will be sealed in a box. The central leadership will take the final decision on the basis of opinion.

Two leaders of the state will be present as observers in the meeting. State BJP President Manoj Tiwari has said that BJP will issue it in its resolution letter and how to deal with Delhi.
