Iran is reported to have been attacked by missiles at the US airbase in Iraq. According to the Pentagon, more than a dozen missiles have been fired at its airbase. Air force bases are deployed with the US. No damage has been reported to the US and coalition forces in this attack yet.
According to a US defense officer, American and coalition forces bases in Iraq have been attacked with about a dozen missiles at around 5.30 pm. Following the missile attack on the US Army base early Wednesday, the Pentagon issued a statement saying it was assessing the damage caused by the attack.
CNN News also confirmed the attack by quoting a senior officer where the US Army base camp is present. Iran had earlier attacked the US Embassy after which Qasim Suleimani was killed in the US drone attack in Baghdad.
