Manu: Wanted to be a player from the beginning. Tried a lot of sports. Came to know about shooting while playing. My parents asked me to try it too, so I started shooting. It is a very good game, it is seen as hard as you work. That is why I chose it again.

Question: In the Munich World Cup last year, you won the Olympic quota in 10 meters. The pistol broke in the 25-meter final. What do such incidents teach?
Manu: I was shooting very well there. From the beginning till the end, I was number one. My chance was to win the quota and medal, suddenly something broke in the bolt or chamber of my pistol, due to which the shot could not fire. I dropped out because of this. It was very heart breaking for me, but I recovered soon.

Manu: It is becoming very difficult to balance between studies and sports but still do both. I study for two hours every day, even after the schedule of the game.

Manu: I wake up at 6 in the morning. After this, get ready till 7 o'clock and study till 9 o'clock. After this, I reach the shooting range and start practice. There is a lunch break in the afternoon. Practice there till evening.

Manu: The thoughts that come to mind, cannot stop them. There are so many things going on in the mind during the game, we cannot stop them. But during that time I try to come out of it thinking about something else. Because the work of the mind is to think. If I think about the game, then the pressure comes on the brain, so I don't think of many things and think about one thing.
Question: How much time do you give on social media?
Manu: I use social media very rarely. If I want to post on someone once or twice a week, I run. It is good to see social media followers that so many people follow me, support me, consider me ideal. I try my best to make the country proud as well as myself.
