Police has started investigating the case of IED coming out in a parcel named after the Commanding Officer at BSF Headquarters at Panjtila in Samba district. Who gave the parcel at the gate to the sentry, what would be the motive behind it, why the parcel was not investigated at the gate, these aspects are under investigation. According to sources, the sentry at the gate has been taken by BSF officials to Paloda headquarters in Jammu for investigation. CCTV footage is being investigated. However, sources say that when two people came to deliver the parcel to the sentry posted at the gate, there was no electricity. Genset was running. Due to this, CCTV footage is being obstructed.
There is also a question as to why parcels of commanding officer's name were not checked at the gate. BSF officials are refusing to say anything about this. According to information from intelligence sources, the IED kept in the parcel has been taken over by the police. A case has also been filed in Police Station Samba.
