Question: There was a possibility of deterioration of the situation, why did not it act strictly?
Answer: We tried to talk to them (JNUSU) but they spoiled the atmosphere. They are getting violent and riotous, for the first time.

Answer: Our nation is a democratic country, where Freedom of expression. Everyone has the right to express his views.

Question: Your opinion changes when Deepika Padukone arrives. What is that?
Answer: I said that great celebrities should come with the agitating students, that is their right. But also talk about the thousands of students who are studying. The professor who sits under the tree and talks about research. Do they not have fundamental rights? Deepika should also speak about them.

Question: What were you doing when masked came to JNU?
Answer: On January 5 at 4:30 pm, the meeting with the faculty was over, security. The guard reported the vandalism by a group of students. I sent guards there. Police called at 5 o'clock.
