A Mughal building (Sarai) has been found near Shyam Park metro station. This building is said to be 400 years old, 16th century. The building was currently occupied by some junk businessmen.

After investigation, the team also claimed that the building was 16th century. The PWD department will now inform the DM and the Archaeological Department of the building to demand that it be saved as a historical heritage.

This building on one side of GT Road at Shyam Park is currently in shabby condition. Dr. KK Sharma, a historian who came to survey the building and Associate Professor at MM College Modinagar said that this building is of medieval period and lacquer bricks have been used in its construction. Professor Sharma said that in the sixteenth century there were about 17 hundred inns (accommodation of travelers) built on either side of GT Road. This building can also be one of them. At present, PWD officials have been asked to clean it. Such monuments need to be preserved in Ghaziabad, to be decorated for future generations and to hand over their heritage to them.

Historian Professor KK Sharma says that GT Road in Mughal period is called Badshahi Road. Was called Even before that this road existed. This road was built from Pataliputra to Kabul in Afghanistan during the Mauryan Empire in the third century BC. Sher Shah Suri rebuilt it. During the British rule, this road has been renamed from Badshahi Road to Grand Trunk Road (GT Road).

Since then it is known as GT Road. Prof. Dr. KK Sharma said that the GT road which is presently built by third century BC Chandragupta Maurya. This route was called North Path. In the 1600 century Sher Shah Suri again rebuilt the entire path. And named this route Badshahi Road.

Sher Shah Suri had built 1700 inns along the banks of Badshahi road. A sarai and Kausi Meena were built on every two curses. According to the Archaeological Survey of India, Kausi Minar is presently found in the bird house of Delhi, Jaipur Road, Sonepat and Panipat. All the Sarai and Kausi Minar used to be the main means of information communication and stopping people.

Before entering Delhi, this inn used to be a stopover for the people. Meeting of this inn in Ghaziabad shows historical significance. The local administration and the PWD need to conserve this inn.

Meet DM In this regard, efforts will be made to conduct a survey with the Archaeological Department after talking to the DM of Ghaziabad. Many other such historical heritage can also be found in Ghaziabad.
