Bollywood desk. Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ has crossed the collection of Rs 200 crore at the box office in 15 days. The film earned Rs 5.38 crore on the third Friday (24 January). With this, its total collection has been Rs 202.83 crore. According to the tweet by commerce analyst Taran Adarsh, it’ll grow to be Ajay Devgan’s highest-grossing film of all time with Saturday’s collection.
Adarsh wrote in his tweet, “Tanhaji beyond 200 crores. No signs of fatigue. Scoring consistently. Despite the screen and show shrinking and two major films coming to the market, the best grosser. Today (Saturday) Ajay Devgan To become the highest-grossing film of all time. Third week. Gained 5.38 crores on Friday. Total collections Rs. 202.38 crores. ”
Significantly, Ajay Devgan’s highest grossing film is ‘Golmaal Again’. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film crossed the 200 crore mark in 24 days and picked up a total of Rs 205.69 crore.
The film can cross the 250 crore mark
According to film distributor, analyst and multiplex proprietor Raj Bansal, at the time of launch, he expected the film to earn 200 crores. But now there’s a chance that it’s going to cross the Rs 250 crore mark at the box office. He says, “The film grossed ₹ 5 crores on the third Friday. It is expected to earn around ₹ 8 crores on Saturday and ₹ 12-13 crores on Sunday. That means the film is seen going beyond ₹ 250 crores.”
According to Bansal, it was hoped that ‘Street Dancer’ and ‘Panga’ launched on January 24 would cease the wave of ‘Tanhaji’. But seeing the preliminary figures, it appears tough to serve each these movies. If each these movies will not be in a position to present at the box office, then it’ll instantly profit ‘Tanhaji’.
