The first lunar eclipse of the year 2020 will be seen on the night of 10 January. It can be seen all over India as well as in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Its total duration will be four hours one minute. The special thing is that it will be a sublime lunar eclipse.

According to Indian time, the lunar eclipse will start at 10:37 pm on the night of January 10 and will end at 11:42 on January 11. It will appear in its most detailed form at 12:41 pm when about 90 percent of the Moon is covered by the Earth.

The solar eclipse has arrived in the last week of December 2019 and now on the ninth day of the new year 2020. There is no telling effect of sutak in it.

Superintendent of Jivaji Observatory in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Rajendra Prakash Gupta said that this year, six eclipses will occur but only three of them will be visible in the country. Four of these six eclipses will be lunar and two solar eclipses. The first lunar eclipse will occur on the middle of Friday and Saturday (10-11 January), which will be seen only in some places in the country.

This lunar eclipse will start at 10.36 pm on Friday night and will continue till 2.44 in the morning of Saturday. Apart from this, the second lunar eclipse will occur on the middle of the night of June 5 and 6, which will be visible in the country, while the lunar eclipse falling on July 5 and November 30 will not be seen. A solar eclipse will occur on June 21, which will be visible in the country and a full solar eclipse falling on December 14 will not be visible in the country.
