Violence against the Citizenship Amendment Act ( CAA ), incitement of violence, peace-making and other charges, police from Thursday to Friday, including former IPS SR Darapuri People are arrested. 6 of those arrested are also from West Bengal. Lucknow SSP said that three FIRs have been lodged in Hasanganj, two in Hazratganj, four in Thakurganj and two in Kaiserbagh. This number will increase further.
According to SSP Kalanidhi Naithani, a team has been engaged to watch video recordings and CCTV footage. Apart from this, photos and videos that have gone viral on social media are also being seen. Posts running on social media are also being monitored. People have been arrested on the basis of all these things.
Police has also detained a teacher of a college located on Sitapur Road. The teacher hails from Krishnanagar area. Apart from this, the police have arrested 151 people including former IPS SR Darapuri, social activist Sadaf Jaffer, Deepak Mishra, Mo. Shoaib. Those arrested include Aslam, Shah Alam, Sagar Ali, Sanju Ali, Kherul and Saleedul of 6 West Bengal. The SSP said that the process of arrests and detention is going on.
