The construction of the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC), which facilitates the path from Delhi to Mumbai, has been expedited by the Railways. Traffic trial has started on the Rewari-Kishangarh-Balavas section of this section.

DFCK General Manager Anurag Sachan flagged off the goods train from New Kishangarh station in Rajasthan. During this, Sachan informed that the goods train will run at a speed of 100 kmph on the Delhi-Mumbai corridor. A freight train will carry a load of 1300 trucks.

That means one train will reduce 1300 trucks on the highway. This will increase the speed of private and public vehicles. There are plans to run 25 pairs of trains on this corridor daily. The track will begin till Palanpur by March 2020. This complete corridor will help in achieving the Prime Minister's goal of bringing $ 5 trillion

He informed that the construction of the 2008 kilometer corridor at a cost of 81 thousand crores in December 2021 aims at. 80 percent freight trains will run on this corridor. This will speed up the passenger train. The Delhi-Mumbai train will run at a speed of 200 km per hour. Logistic parks will be built on this line.

Large section from Rewari to Palanpur in Gujarat will be opened in March 2020. This will provide direct connectivity from North India to four ports of Gujarat namely Kandla, Pipavav, Mundra and Tuna. DFC Corporation Limited General Manager Ved Prakash stated that it would be convenient to carry double decker containers on DFC.
