The Commission’s Bernali Shom wrote a letter to Madhuri Malhotra of Sony Pictures Networks India Pvt Ltd, stating that NCW has closed the case towards Malik. The Commission had sought paperwork from Sona Mohapatra relating to the allegations, which Sona couldn’t make obtainable to the Commission. In this letter, it’s written for Sona that – “The Commission has received your response in this matter on 6 December 2019. In view of the above, I have been directed to state that the Commission has sought communication from the complainant / The case is closed due to lack of sufficient evidence. “
According to the National Commission for Women, Rekha Sharma, we took motion on the demand of the complainant and we contacted them on our behalf. The complainant mentioned that she is out now, she is going to meet us every time she returns. We waited for about 45 days. Also requested for some extra paperwork however after that no response was obtained from his aspect. He additionally mentioned that aside from him there are different individuals who have complained towards Anu. Then we informed them that none of them had contacted us but. However this case shouldn’t be closed endlessly. If the complainant comes ahead or submits extra evidence or paperwork of any type, we will re-open the case.
