Daroga Ramakant Sachan (59), a resident of Sajeti area of Kanpur Nagar, posted in the city Kotwali, hanged himself with a fan hook on Friday morning in the government quarters. Hearing the news of the son's death, the sick mother of Daroga also died of shock.
The family alleges that the sick mother has died because of not getting leave to go to see, while Superintendent of Police Manilal Patidar denied denial of the family's allegations and said that she should not get the leave application. On the other hand, the family is in a bad condition due to two deaths.
Ramakant Mahoba, son of Gorelal Sachan, resident of Kamlapur village in Sajeti area of Kanpur city, was posted as a constable in Kotwali. Ramakant lived alone in the government quarters at Kotwali. His mother Jagrani (85) was ill for a long time.
Daroga's son Rajeev Ranjan told that the father was hurt by not getting leave to see his ailing grandmother. They used to get angry on the phone saying that they would not leave. He gave his life by hanging himself in the government quarters at seven in the morning. On the other hand, his mother also succumbed to shock after receiving information about the death of the inspector.
SP, ASP Virendra Kumar and CO Sadar Jatashankar Rao inspected the opportunity on the information of the suicide of the inspector at Kotwali. The SP said that the cause of suicide is being ascertained.
In the presence of family members, the autopsy has been done by a panel of three doctors. Denying the denial of leave to relatives, he said that everyone is given leave.
He counted the leave granted to ASP and Inspector, saying that the inspector
had not given any leave application. The family is making concoctions of not giving leave.
