Kolkata. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Kolkata on a two-day visit today. According to the Prime Minister's Office, today they will release four historic buildings, which have recently been repaired. On Saturday and Sunday, Modi will attend several events of Kolkata Port Trust. Will also distribute relief amount to professors.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate Old Currency Building, Belvedere House, Metcalf House and Victoria Memorial Hall in Kolkata. The Ministry of Culture has repaired these old and historic buildings. Their art galleries have been renovated.

Ministry of Culture is working on the plan for the construction of cultural area near historic buildings located in big cities of the country. After Kolkata, the scheme is also being worked on in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Varanasi.
Modi will give 501 crores for pension fund
Prime Minister Modi will hand over a check of 501 crores for the troubled pension fund of the existing and retired employees of Kolkata Port Trust. Modi will also honor Nagina Bhagat (105) and Naresh Chandra Chakraborty (100), two old pensioners of the trust who have completed 100 years of age. The Prime Minister will also launch the song of Kolkata Port Trust during the event. Apart from this, Modi will also introduce many new features.

- On the occasion of completion of 150 years of Kolkata Port Trust will lay the foundation stone for the memorial to be built on its first jetty.
- Netaji Subhash will inaugurate the Advanced Ship Repair Center built at Dry Dock.
- Kolkata will inaugurate the advanced full rake handling facility of the railway built for cargo transport on the dock system.
- To launch new facilities and proposed riverfront development plan at berth number 3 of Haldia Dock Complex.
Start of housing scheme for tribal girl students
The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Skill Development Center in Kolkata and inaugurate Pratilata Chhatri Housing for 200 tribal girl students of Sunderbans. Kolkata Port Trust has started this scheme in association with Purvanchal Kalyan Ashram. It belongs to All India Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram.
